Members of MidAtlantic’s Environmental and Survey Teams sat down to complete their annual HAZWOPER 8-Hour refresher training as required by 29 CFR 1910.120. Our Environmental Team often comes in close contact with hazardous materials. Without proper safety training, exposure to hazardous materials can pose short- and long-term threats to their health and safety. The federal Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standard provides the training requirements for all workers who perform emergency response, cleanup, or corrective actions at sites where hazardous substances have been released.
