MidAtlantic’s dive team was recently called on to assist Northstar Marine with an emergency salvage recovery of a 40′ section of steel drill casing that became detached while extracting soil borings for a potential wind farm location. The casing was connected to a 100-ton crane and divers used a water jet to excavate the sediment around the casing which was embeded 20′ deep into the seafloor. Dive operations were conducted from a Jack-Up Barge located onsite, approximately 30 nautical miles from Cape May NJ. #emergencysalvage #waterfrontservices #PEdivers #diveteam #commercialdivers
