MidAtlantic’s team of professional planners, architects, and civil engineers collaborated to develop this challenging site, converting an unsightly junkyard into a valuable addition to the neighborhood. Partially located in a flood zone and having a significant grading differential between the front and rear of the site, our team took great care in creating a design that would provide luxurious living while accounting for the required stormwater control, parking demands, and potential flood risks of the site.
Located just outside of the bustling town of Tenafly, this mixed-use multifamily development consists of 40 high-end apartments, a retail space, and a shared internal courtyard that includes an inground pool, hot tub, and is surrounded by modern amenities, all above an underground parking garage. Mainly consisting of two-bedroom apartments, these units are loaded with luxuries: stainless steel appliances, private washer/dryer, open floor plans, high ceilings with large windows, private balconies and private rooftop terraces. Additionally, a mix of two and three-bedroom apartments will be designated as affordable housing, contributing to the municipality’s current deficit & obligation to meet state requirements. Aiming to provide residents with a sense of community while ensuring privacy, this design creates an upscale living environment that combines comfort, style and modern conveniences all under one roof.
