With ecommerce growth and new industrial/commercial facility prices soaring, our New York City and Philadelphia clients are looking for affordable alternatives. MidAtlantic had the opportunity to support our client’s purchase of the former Sunbury Textile Mills in the City of Sunbury, Pennsylvania. The former Sunbury Textile Mill operated for over 125 years before recently closing their doors during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the loss of over 100 jobs. We completed a Phase I ESA in accordance with ASTM Standard E 1527-13, Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments and 40 CFR Part 312, Innocent Landowners, Standards for Conducting All Appropriate Inquiries (the All Appropriate Inquiries [AAI] Rule) at the property.  The project gave MidAtlantic the opportunity to inspect a piece of United States manufacturing history, and the sale will lead to the return of jobs and industry to the City of Sunbury.
