MidAtlantic was engaged to investigate the potential alternative use of an existing retail site in Milltown Borough, New Jersey. The property’s anchor tenant was leaving but the site’s great location among many other positive attributes made the site an excellent candidate for redevelopment.

Ultimately, our client determined to move forward with redeveloping the site for multi-family residential use, and the proposal received unanimous approval from the Borough Planning Board on March 16, 2023. MidAtlantic enjoyed working with a great team of professionals and experts in bringing this site through the design and approval process at the Borough. The debate heated up very quickly from the start of the final BISNOW Forecast event of the year in Philly. The topic of discussion “Tax Code” in and around the Philadelphia region was highly debated between guest speakers. City Councilwomen Maria Quinones-Sanchez was one of many who spoke about the pros and cons of the 10-year abatement and property assessments in residential areas.
