Entry Level Engineer Diver
As an Entry Level Engineer Diver, you will play a key role in both office-based engineering tasks and field operations. You will gain hands-on experience working in a dynamic environment, supporting engineering projects, and performing fieldwork in various elements. This is an exciting opportunity for recent college graduates with a strong technical background to kick-start their engineering career in a field that combines both office and field responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with technical writing, report preparation, and documentation using Microsoft Word,
Excel, and PDF software. - Support field operations and underwater inspections, including working on boats, surface
supplied diving and commercial scuba diving. - Perform engineering tasks in the field, gathering data, conducting assessments, and ensuring
safety and efficiency on-site. - Develop inspection and design drawings using AutoCAD under the direction of senior staff.
- Contribute to both engineering design and technical aspects of projects, as well as document
findings. - Work year-round in outdoor environments and various weather conditions, including coastal
areas and vessels. - Assist senior engineers and project managers with daily tasks and special projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Recent college graduate with a degree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Structural, Ocean, etc.).
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to document findings and create reports using
Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF. - Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Must be physically fit and willing to work in outdoor environments year-round, including
challenging weather conditions. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and environments.
- Able to obtain Basic Scuba Certification & willingness to become commercial diver certified

- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and inspection findings using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF software.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to support both office and field-based engineering projects.
- Ensure all fieldwork complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work year-round in outdoor environments and various weather conditions, including coastal areas and vessels.
- Provide support to senior engineers in both technical and project management tasks.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in civil, structural, or marine engineering.
- 1-3 years of engineering experience
- ADCI Commercial Diving Certificate
- Experience performing underwater inspections of marine structures, bridges, and other infrastructure.
- Strong technical writing skills with experience preparing inspection reports and documentation using
- Word, Excel, and PDF editors.
- Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and willing to work in outdoor, year-round field conditions.
- Willingness to travel and work on various vessels and in challenging weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Experience operating small boats.
- Ability to navigate and work with underwater survey equipment.
- AutoCAD or similar CAD software experience for creating design and inspection drawings.

Work Environment
