Several members of MidAtlantic’s Waterfront Services team participated in what has now become an annual tradition – the Walt Johnson III Memorial Shoot Off, hosted by the Marine Trades Association of NJ. Held again at Red Wings Sporting Clays facility in Port Republic NJ, the team enjoyed a day of shooting and teambuilding as well as networking with other member of the Marine Trades Association. It is always a great event and this year was no exception with a great time had by all. The Marine Trades Association of NJ is a non-profit trade organization dedicated to advancing, promoting and protecting the recreational marine industry and waterways in New Jersey. Two members of our site/civil team, Greg Domalewski and Matthew Ryan were on site recently for the grand opening of the veteran’s housing community that they worked on with Pennrose Development. The development includes 70 units and will provide 100% affordable housing for veterans and families including five units to house previously homeless veterans. MidAtlantic is proud to have been involved in this worthwhile project that supports our veterans who have sacrificed so much for their country. MidAtlantic would like to thank all veterans for their service to this county and their bravery and wish you all a Happy Veteran’s Day!

MidAtlantic recently hosted employees and their families for some brews and BBQ as we said good-bye to Summer. It was an exciting time for the group to come face to face with the many team members that have joined MidAtlantic since the pandemic began. Everyone enjoyed refreshing beverages by Screamin’ Hill Brewery and amazing food by Sweet Lucy’s Smokehouse. A great time was had by all!

The Barnegat lighthouse, colloquially known as “Old Barney”, serves as a beacon of light to guide mariners home from a long passage at sea or a summer time ritual destination for visitors to Long Beach Island, NJ. MidAtlantic Engineering provided drone survey services to our client. HMR Architects is performing a detailed survey to restore the lighthouse to New Jersey Historical Preservation standards. As we sail into Labor Day weekend may the light shine bright and all stay healthy.
